Taj Mahal (2016)

“Nick, this is awesome, you should write about this” is something I frequently hear . I’ve snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef, attended formal dining hall at Cambridge, seen the Northern Lights in the Northwest Territories and taken a motorbike on the Hai Van pass in Vietnam - I figured I should heed their advice. Thus far, I have been to 58 countries, all while working full-time. From a young age, my teacher parents always would devote our summers to travelling, first taking us across the country on a camping road trip, eventually taking a few trips to Europe. I hadn’t pursued any travels myself until I studied on exchange in Ireland at University College Dublin. That sparked my curiosity to explore the world, and helped convince me to take the leap abroad, as I moved to Cambridge, England for a year to work as a teacher. Since then, every chance to travel, I take.

In this blog I hope to share my tips and tricks that I have learned while travelling – getting through difficult visa processes, like in Vietnam and India – and packing efficiently. Don’t hesitate to contact me here, I’m excited to share my ideas with everyone!

“A man's feet should be planted in his country, but his eyes should survey the world.” - George Santayana (as the other blogger took my usual travel line). Ever since my first flight across the Pacific at age 9, I’ve always marveled at what our incredible world has to show to us. My favorite experiences (that I share on my Instagram) so far include partying on a junk in Hong Kong, admiring Dubai’s architecture from the Burj, soaking in the sun on the Greek islands and getting lost basically everywhere. I am a Vancouverite who is now working in Management Consulting in Toronto, trying to survive their winters and attempts at creating decent sushi. Life will always be an adventure, and I’d like to bring you along for the ride!
